      <description>&lt;p&gt;Мне тут одна мысль пришла, а почему бы не выделить отдельный топик для классической музыки. Ведь блог&#45;то всё&#45;таки джазовый, а не классический. Поэтому создаю тему с опросом. 
&lt;br /&gt;
Конечно, надеюсь, что особых возражений против маленькой коллекции классической музыки на джазовом блоге не возникнет&#8230; Ведь в последнее время всё чаще и чаще появляются альбомы так называемого &#8220;третьего течения&#8221; &#45; классической музыки в джазовой обработке. А любой уважающий себя меломан попросту обязан знать, как же это всё звучало в оригинале.
&lt;br /&gt;
Итак, если администрация сайта не возражает, в этом топике (дабы не загружать сам блог) буду выкладывать альбомы классической музыки.
&lt;br /&gt;
Топик о &#8220;Картинках...&#8221; Мусоргского пускай останется отдельным топиком (настолько самодостаточное произведение эти &#8220;Картинки...&quot;); выложенная ранее классика пускай остаётся на страницах блога, а остальные новые поступления буду выкладывать здесь.

Notes: Music was a part of Mark May&#8217;s life from an early age. A brother had worked with Pure Prairie League&#8217;s Craig Fuller, and his mom was drawn to the strains of country and bluegrass. A native of Ohio, the blues guitarist began learning to play the instrument when he was five years old, and during his teen years he became involved with several bands. By the time he&#8217;d turned 16, he had played the first of what would become many professional gigs. Upon relocating to Houston during the early &#8216;80s, May continued to perform professionally with a variety of country outfits. He went on to work with rock groups, but his heart always was with the blues. Thanks to a friend, he discovered an affinity for Albert Collins&#8217; brand of the blues. He soon pulled together his own blues&#45;rock group.
&lt;br /&gt;
May and the Agitators, his Houston&#45;based band, headed into the studio and made their demo. Before a month had passed, Icehouse/Priority Records executive Johnny Philips was ready to sign May and the Agitators. After the record company issued a CD titled &#8216;Call On The Blues&#8217;, the band&#8217;s lineup shifted. Icehouse issued May&#8217;s sophomore effort, &#8216;Telephone Road Houston, Texas&#8217;, in 1997. The CD features contributions from the Agitators&#8217; former saxophonist, Demmer, as well as Alan Haynes, Larry McCray, and the Memphis Horns. Two years later, May was dubbed Houston Press Musician of the Year.
&lt;br /&gt;
10 of the 12 songs on &#8216;Telephone Road&#8217; were written or co&#45;written by guitarist and band leader, Mark May. Mark&#8217;s vocals are smooth and true, his guitar work solid. At times his guitar playing reminds me of Albert Collins, other times there&#8217;s no comparison at all. Many of the CD&#8217;s songs have distinctive phrasing or unique feel to them, including the first cut, &#8216;Mercury Blues&#8217;. This tune has been covered by many artists, but this version presents a fresh slant. The most interesting song on the CD is the title cut, &#8216;Telephone Road&#8217;. It starts out south of the border, then moves into central texas for the vocal chorus. It continues to skip back and forth across the border for the duration of the song. Another song with an unusual twist is &#8216;Sweet Spot&#8217;. For this one Mark makes use of a talk box, a device that had some popularity in mid seventies Rock. The CD also includes one standard blues number, a nicely done cover of Albert Collins&#8217; &#8216;The Lights Are On, But Nobody&#8217;s Home&#8217;. Sprinkled throughout the CD are contributions of three guest guitarists, Billy Wells, Alan Haynes, and Larry McCray. All these guys blend well with the music. It didn&#8217;t become appearent to me there was more than one guitarist at work until the 3rd or 4th listening. There is one R&amp;B;/soul ballad, but the majority of songs on &#8216;Telephone Road&#8217; are upbeat, funky, Texas shuffles that make you feel like tapping your feet. There&#8217;s generous amounts of blues guitar, but not to the point of being overbearing. This CD should appeal to a wide range of blues lovers.

Мусоргский учился игре на фортепиано у Герке и стал хорошим пианистом. Хотя пению М. и не учился, но обладал довольно красивым баритоном и был неплохим исполнителем вокальной музыки.

Мусоргский — большой самобытный талант, и притом талант чисто русский; он принадлежит к группе музыкальных деятелей, стремившихся — с одной стороны — к оформленному реализму, с другой стороны — к красочному и поэтическому раскрытию слова, текста и настроений через музыку, гибко следующей за ними. Национальное мышление М., как композитора, сквозит и в уменье обращаться с народной песней, и в самом складе его музыки, в её мелодических, гармонических и ритмических особенностях, наконец — в выборе сюжетов, главным образом, из рус. жизни. М. — ненавистник рутины, для него в музыке не существует авторитетов; на правила музыкальной грамматики он обращал мало внимания, усматривая в них не положения науки, а лишь сборник композиторских приемов прежних эпох. Всюду М. отдаётся своей пылкой фантазии, всюду стремится к новизне. Юмористическая музыка вообще удавалась М., и в этом жанре он разнообразен, остроумен и находчив; стоит только вспомнить его сказку про «Козла», историю долбящего латынь «Семинариста», влюбленного в поповскую дочь, «По грибы» (текст Мея), «Пирушку».

Гартмане. Изначально написанная для фортепиано, она неоднократно аранжировалась различными композиторами для оркестра и обрабатывалась в самых разных музыкальных стилях

В феврале—марте 1874 г. в Императорской академии художеств по инициативе Стасова и при содействии Петербургского общества архитекторов была проведена посмертная выставка из около 400 работ Гартмана, созданных за 15 лет, — рисунков, акварелей, архитектурных проектов, эскизов театральных декораций и костюмов, эскизов художественных изделий. На выставке было много зарисовок, привезённых из заграничных путешествий.
&lt;br /&gt;
Посещение Мусоргским выставки послужило толчком к созданию музыкальной «прогулки» по воображаемой выставочной галерее. Получилась серия музыкальных картин, которые лишь отчасти напоминают увиденные произведения; в основном же пьесы стали результатом свободного полёта пробуждённой фантазии композитора. За основу «выставки» Мусоргский взял «заграничные» рисунки Гартмана, а также два его эскиза на русскую тематику. Выставленные работы продавались, поэтому на сегодня местонахождение большинства из них неизвестно. Из упомянутых в цикле рисунков ныне можно восстановить шесть.

This guy&#8217;s got a great voice, the real deal. A hard&#45;workin&#8217; vet with excellent chops seasoned by life. The CD is filled with solid songwriting (12 single writes by Nixon &amp;amp; 2 co&#45;writes, songs #10 &amp;amp; 12, with Richard Fleming), good production &amp;amp; dandy players. But it&#8217;s Nixon&#8217;s really fine vocals that shine, shine, shine. He has alot of facets in his voice that he controls &amp;amp; utilizes to perfection. There&#8217;s a soft, gentle touch he employs sparingly and effectively, a passionate soulful growling edge and even an excellent high falsetto&#8217;ish voicing he uses that&#8217;s provides a nifty contrast &amp;amp; impact scattered throughout his emotional, dead&#45;on&#45;the&#45;money performances. It&#8217;s just really good to listen to a pro&#8217;s pro doin&#8217; what he does with gusto! And just so it doesn&#8217;t get lost in the shuffle, I&#8217;ve got to mention Nixon&#8217;s strong, strong guitar work. Obviously capable of holding down the axe sideman slot with any band in the biz, his playing is inventive, rock&#45;solid &amp;amp; never overdone (thus leaving just the good stuff)! Highlight tunes beyond the title cut, for me, include TRYING TO HOLD ON with it&#8217;s nice background vocal (Mary&#45;Ann Brandon) &amp;amp; song tension, SUNDOWN BLUES with that cool high vocal deal, &amp;amp; the great delivery on ONE MORE CHANCE WITH YOU. The #12 cut, I&#8217;M YOUR HANDY MAN is a really nice song with a spare, kind of haunting vibe provided in large part by the wonderful, moody harp&#45;playing of Shannon Williford. Matched with Nixon&#8217;s smooth guitar &amp;amp; perfect vocal the song really shines. Williford also does the harmonica work on a few other tunes to great advantage &amp;amp; effect. He really adds to the production w/o getting in the way. This leads to a few comments on Fred James production &amp;amp; guitar work. The guy really seems to know what he&#8217;s doing, letting the productions serve the songs &amp;amp; the singer! Also, his own rhythm &amp;amp; slide work adds nicely to the project. One more kudo to Fred James: my understanding is that he&#8217;s a nice white guy who digs R&amp;B;and the blues and puts his money where his mouth is to get it to happen. Good deal. The other players are all equally as good. Brian Owings (drums) &amp;amp; Jeff Davis (bass) lock it down, Billy Earhart does nice work on keys &amp;amp; Dennis Taylor offers some real nice sax work. Overall this is a mighty good CD by a mighty good artist!

This 1972 disc is an unlikely candidate for the expanded treatment, especially considering that Buddy Guy had to record two additional tunes, without Junior Wells, a few years after the 1970 Eric Clapton produced session just to have enough material for the original ten&#45;track record. Interestingly, the 13 additional cuts unearthed for this 2005 limited&#45;edition reissue of Buddy Guy &amp;amp; Junior Wells Play the Blues provide over twice the running time of the initial eight&#45;song session. The three tunes tacked onto the end of disc one alone are worth the price of admission, with a version of Memphis Minnie&#8217;s &#8220;Dirty Mother for You&#8221; a highlight. It&#8217;s inexplicable why no one felt that this track, or the two other previously unreleased tracks that follow it, were good enough to be included on the album when it was first out. Sure, there are a few missed cues and bum notes, but the band&#8217;s playing is enthusiastic and both Guy and Wells seem to be having a ball. Disc two collects ten more Clapton&#45;produced songs that also weren&#8217;t given the nod. A long version of &#8220;Bad Bad Whiskey&#8221; with Slowhand on slide guitar runs a few minutes longer than the officially released version, and three &#8220;mono rough mixes,&#8221; along with six more polished tracks, show there was plenty of raw material recorded at the original session. While not considered commercial enough at the time, leftovers such as a nine&#45;minute take on Tampa Red&#8217;s &#8220;Love Her with a Feeling&#8221; with extra verses, and a funky &#8220;Checkin&#8217; Up on My Baby&#8221; are tough, crackling, and rollicking. Wells and Guy trade lead vocals and both are in fine voice, with the former blowing edgy Chicago harp and the latter whipping off some sizzling guitar licks. Clapton returns for acoustic slide on Little Walter&#8217;s slow blues &#8220;Last Night,&#8221; an eight&#45;minute burner that maintains its easy yet tense groove which is helped immensely by Mike Utley&#8217;s Otis Spann&#45;styled stately piano, even though Guy seems to forget the words. Additional photos from Jim Marshall who shot the classic cover, and track&#45;specific liner notes in the accompanying 20&#45;page booklet help make this reissue even more attractive, especially to blues fans who treasure the original.
